Indian Wedding

Coventry October 21st -

A Caribbean steel orchestra at an Indian wedding may not be the first thing that comes to mind but this was an opportunity not to be missed.

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the occasion and the hospitality given by the family.

Merseyway, Stockport

Merseyway, Stockport October 14th -

We took the opportunity to take our new junior recruits out on their first public performance. They only started in September but have achieved great things and were able to play several of the tunes throughout the day.

Followers will note this is first time out for our new blue polo shirts that will complement our new red polos with the logo emblazoned on the back.

Chester October 2nd -

The Music for Youth Primary Proms at Chester Cathedral attracted full audiences of primary school children from all over Cheshire for each of the hour long morning and afternoon performances.

The Orchestra opened the sets followed by four other youth groups from the county

Vernon Park

Vernon Park August 19th -

A damp Sunday afternoon in August didn't stop our local Stockport supporters from turning up to enjoy two hours of the Sound of Stockport Steel.
The gazebos were there to keep the audience dry but fortunately the weather held off.

Being local we were able to take some of our young players for their first experience of 'playing out', and they provided great support to the Orchestra.

Godley Primary School

Godley Primary School July 21st -

This fun day attracted a good supply of
pirates to give a good feeling to the Caribbean theme day. The event was
opened by Matthew Hatton, locally born Welterweight champion who kindly
agreed to be photographed with us.

New Mills Fete

New Mills Fete June 9th -

We got off to bad start with a flat battery on the minibus, but the event managed to hold onto the good weather. It was just a pity that we only got to do one spot and that was before the parade had reached the field.
