We hold regular practice sessions three times a week in our temporary base at Moorfield Primary School, Hazel Grove

Locally the Orchestra is developing and extending the basic tuition on traditional Caribbean steel pan obtained within primary education to beyond that available within the educational system. All practice sessions are held at our temporary base of Moorfield Primary School, Lyndhurst Avenue, Hazel Grove, Stockport, where the acoustics for music and security for the storage of instruments is ideal, as well giving the provision of a safe environment for both the young players and parents alike.

Senior practices are held on Sunday mornings and Tuesday evenings, and junior practices are held at 7.00 pm every Monday evening, except bank holiday Mondays, and last for 90 minutes. The first four weeks cost Junior players nothing whilst they see if they enjoy playing. After that it’s just £4.00 each week. All the instruments and uniforms are provided by the Orchestra so there’s nothing else to pay for.
